About Me
Jodie Woodruff, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Education (a Big Picture Learning school) in Providence, Rhode Island has established herself firmly as a leader, innovator, and inspiration to those around her. From concept to creation Jodie spearheaded the Met’s entrepreneurial programs including the building of the nations first freestanding entrepreneurship center for a public high school. Under her tutelage four students have been named Ernst & Young's New England's Youth Entrepreneur of the Year, and four students have qualified for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s national competition. Jodie was recognized as the 2016 Paul Allen Distinguished Educator Award, the Global Educator in 2014 from the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and Alumni of the Year from her Alma mater The University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. She is a dedicated educator, an advocate for underprivileged youth, and is passionate about educational reform and social justice work.
