Laura Martinelli ‘13

During her high school career, senior, Laura Martinelli, founded EHFAR Films.  Everything Happens For A Reason produces promotional videos, specifically for small businesses that otherwise could not afford to call attention to themselves.  Laura and her business represented The Met’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the regional level of the National Foundation Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) business plan competition.  Laura won the regional competition and now advances to the Nationals in New York City in October.  Along the way, Laura has been selected for a four-year full scholarship at Southern New Hampshire University’s film school.  Also, as a result of her competing, Laura was named Ernst & Young’s New England’s Youth Entrepreneur of the Year.
